Is the IVG SAVR a Unique Vape Kit?

The IVG SAVR has the look and feel of a disposable. As a greener more sustainable option, importantly the IVG SAVR Prefilled Pods can be replaced and the device kept for recharging. The unique qualities of this replacement for disposables stems from the 2ml + 4ml design of this big puff vape.

Achieving up to 3000 puffs according to IVG (which can be less depending on how big each draw is), represents great value as this is five times more than classic and now banned 2ml disposable all-in-one non-reusable kits.

Most big vapes tend to have four rotating pods of 8ml in total (4 x 2ml) or a 10+2 system with a 10ml container and a 2ml pod. Therefore, this is a clever concept from IVG to try something bigger but still handheld and disposable-like in design.

How Does it Compare to Other IVG Prefilled Pod Kits

Right now, after the disposable vape ban, there are five pod kits for vapers to choose from in the IVG range. This includes the IVG Air 4-in-1 with 17 IVG Air Pods flavours, IVG 2400 4 in 1, IVG Smart Max, IVG Pro and the IVG SAVR as the most recent release.

All are very easy to set up but offer different form factors and e-liquid capacities based on how much vape juice you want to use before needing to swap for an alternative pod(s).

The IVG SAVR is the more compact and budget-friendly choice, with more flavours to choose from with a long list of 30 compared to the Smart Max with 20 refill pods and 15 from the Pro. For the most refills, the IVG 2400 4 in 1 Kit boasts a whopping 55 flavours to choose your favourite.

Comparing battery capacities as the table highlights below, the 2400 4 in 1 Kit also has the largest battery, with a hefty 1750mAh capacity. Meanwhile, the PRO has 1000mAh and the Air 4 in 1 is also 1000mAh. As with most IVG kits, you will need to use one of your type-c charging cables or purchase one because they are nor included with the kits.

How to Use the SAVR Vape Kit: Simple Setup Guide

1. Take out of the packaging and remove stoppers from 2 ml pod and 4 ml bottle (also label on the container).
2. Connect the 2ml prefilled pod and the 4ml refill container until you hear a click.
3. Insert the assembled pod into the IVG SAVR device.
4. Inhale from the mouthpiece to activate the kit and generate puffs – no need to press any buttons or turn on the device.
5. When low on juice, swap for a new pod or refill bottle.
6. Recharge via USB‑C when the 650mAh battery is low.

How Does it Vape?

There are benefits and minor drawbacks to the performance of the IVG SAVR. As we have mentioned, there are no opportunities to adjust or optimise the performance.

While some pod kits offer clever features like Eco Mode to sustain battery performance for longer or clever little switches that adjust airflow between a tight and loose draw, the IVG SAVR could be more versatile here. We get it is an MTL device aimed at beginners, but it would be nice to have the option of further customisation.

The draw itself is slightly on the loose side of MTL vs a restricted draw smokers would prefer, based on former habits. With 20mg nic salts only, now the device is aimed at heavy smokers or those familiar with 20mg disposable vapes. The flavour and nic salts are smooth from the IVG SAVR and there is a nice selection of flavours to choose from.

There is not a lot of cloud production, but the mouthpiece is also a bit wider than traditional MTL drip tips. A fixed coil means you cannot try this device in restrictive direct lung (RDL) or direct lung (DTL) and even if you could, there is no wattage control.

If you like customisation this may not be the right vape kit for you. However, for a simple setup, some nice flavours such as strawberry watermelon, blue raspberry or pineapple ice will pique interest among vapers.

SAVR Appearance and Build Quality Overview

The appearance is very similar to the IVG Pro, with the pod slotting into place via the open gap at the top left of the SAVR 650mAH battery device. Some vapers may find them a bit fiddly to put together but as the IVG helpful video highlights, you can have the device ready to go in under one minute out of the pack.

What is a little challenging is knowing how much e-liquid is left. You can’t see the refill container at all and the 2ml prefilled pod is not transparent either, so that may have been a missed opportunity from IVG to make life easier for vapers.

However, the SAVR colours are nice, and the finished product is smooth to hold and small enough to grip comfortably in the hand. It has a small battery indication level on the front of the device but no LED indication system which some pod kits utilise, and vapers appreciate.

There is a different colour for each of the 30 flavours available, so if you are after a favourite colour, even if you are not a huge fan of the flavour with the kit, you can always add your preferred IVG prefilled vape pods flavours to your favourite vape kit colour and you can have the best of both worlds.

Verdict

Overall, this is a tidy little device that can work as a compact backup to your adjustable high-powered pod mod kit, or a primary vape for simplicity and a small form factor.

IVG SAVR with 30 flavours provides variety and a nice loose MTL draw but with a few minor drawbacks such as the 650mAh battery offset by the type-c quick charging at 45 minutes to full charge and no adjustable airflow or wattage, which could be improved with their next prefilled pod device.

Nevertheless, we believe it is an excellent vape kit to help smokers quit and those who bought disposables to transition over to a brand and device that is more environmentally friendly and cost effective.
