High VG and Shortfill E-Liquids
Browse our range of carefully selected premium shortfill e-liquids, which have 70:30 VG:PG ratios. These shortfills are 0.0% nicotine e-liquid so that you can add nicotine shots to get the nicotine strength you want. A Nic-Shot is usually 10ml of e-liquid with 1.8% nicotine strength.
Shortfills usually come with 40/50ml of zero nicotine e-liquid, in a 50/60ml bottle, so there is 10ml of free space in the bottle to add the nic-shot.
All you need to do is add your nic-shot (up to 10ml) to the e-juice bottle. Once you have mixed the short fill flavour and the nicotine shot in the correct proportions, shake your bottle vigorously for about a minute and then add the mixed e-liquid to your tank. There is an added bonus, you can often save money if you mix your own e-liquid with shortfills and nic-shots.
We stock the best quality shortfill e-liquid from Solace Vapor, Dinner Lady, IVG, Nasty Juice and our own brand VSAVI.

What Are High-VG E-Liquids?
E-liquids, in general, contain only a few key ingredients, one of the many reasons that vaping is safer and less harmful than smoking. In most e-liquids, there will be flavourings, nicotine, VG (which stands for vegetable glycerin), and PG (which stands for propylene glycol). VG and PG are two very common substances that appear in plenty of different household items, from medicines, to foods, to hygiene products and more.
High VG e-liquids are e-liquids that contain a majority VG formula. In the case of our high VG e-liquids, in a 70% VG to 30% PG formula, though other concentrations, like 60/40 or 80/20 are also fairly common. You can also get 100% VG e-liquids, which are particularly popular with advanced vapers and cloud chasers, due to their excellent vapour production and smooth, sweet inhale. High VG e-liquids are ideal for sub-ohm vapers and cloud chasers as they offer excellent cloud production, like their 100% VG counterparts, but aren’t quite as sweet and still provide an authentic, though subdued, throat hit sensation, which is very popular with ex-smokers.
High VG liquids are also excellent for vaping direct-to-lung (DTL) as opposed to mouth-to-lung (MTL), as they provide a smoother, more gentle vape experience, making them much easier and more comfortable to inhale direct-to-lung. As VG is naturally sweet, the majority of high VG e-juices are based on sweet flavour profiles such as fruits and desserts, and savoury or traditional tobacco flavours are less popular, as the sweetness of the VG impacts on these flavours. If you’re looking for an e-liquid that effectively emulates both the experience and flavour of smoking a traditional tobacco cigarette, a 50/50 concentration, lower VG e-juice or higher PG liquid might be better for you.
Which concentration of e-liquid you choose is entirely down to personal preference, as both PG and VG are proven to be completely safe to ingest. One exception to this is PG sensitivity, which while not common, is a concern for some vapers. For users with a PG sensitivity, inhaling PG-heavy liquids may make them feel dizzy or unwell, and the throat hit sensation is very unpleasant. A very small percentage of those with a PG sensitivity will actually be allergic, though it is possible and can be a concern for some vapers. If you don’t enjoy the sensation of a throat hit or find that higher-PG liquids are making you feel uncomfortable or unwell, a high VG e-liquid might be an excellent choice for you.
At V2 Cigs, we offer a variety of top of the line high-VG liquids, from some of the industry’s most recognisable brands. When it comes to high-VG e-liquids, our customers prefer shortfill e-liquid systems for convenience, value and flexibility in how they vape. Shortfill e-liquids (sometimes known as “shake and vape” liquids) are e-liquids that come in a bottle that isn’t filled all the way - it’s a little short, which is where shortfills get their name! Shortfill bottles are filled to around 80% the majority of the time, giving the user space to add their own nicotine shot. Shortfill e-liquids are completely nicotine free, and can be used as they are for vapers who prefer a 0% nicotine experience. However, for vapers who want that signature nicotine rush when they inhale their vape flavour, nicotine shots, or nic shots, can be used to fill up the last 20% of your bottle and add nicotine to your high VG juice.
Shortfill liquids are the preference of many vapers (as opposed to pre-mixed e-liquids), as they can control the concentration of nicotine and adapt the levels almost exactly to how they prefer. They also allow users to get a stronger nicotine hit than they would in pre-mixed liquids, and get the most value for money as shortfills come in larger bottles than traditional pre-mixed e-liquids. Shortfills have become increasingly popular in recent years as they are a cost-effective workaround to tobacco-related regulations, primarily in the UK and Europe, where regulations are stricter. However, the cost-saving benefits of shortfill systems also apply to customers in regions with less stringent regulations on e-liquids, such as the US.
Under the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) regulations, manufacturers can’t sell e-liquid containing nicotine in anything larger than 10ml bottles. For reference, 10ml of e-liquid would last someone who had been smoking 15 traditional tobacco cigarettes a day approximately one week (though this can vary massively from person to person).
Having to replace your e-liquid every week isn’t just inconvenient, it can get very expensive too, not to mention increasing the amount of plastic waste we throw away. As shortfill liquids don’t actually contain any nicotine as sold, they can be produced in 40ml, 50ml or even larger containers. Shortfill liquids also allow users to tailor the strength of their e-liquid, which is also highly regulated in some regions. Currently, UK and European manufacturers can’t sell e-liquids with a nicotine concentration of over 20mg/ml, or 2% in a 10ml bottle in the region.
In the US, nicotine e-liquids can be sold in much higher concentrations - sometimes up to 6% concentration, so this isn’t a concern for USA vapers. However, the brilliant cost-savings and fantastic flavours available make these e-liquids popular across the globe. With shortfill e-liquids, UK and European customers can mix their e-liquids to create a higher nicotine concentration than pre-mixed liquids can offer. Stronger nicotine is ideal for heavy smokers looking to quit or cut down, and for those who want a more intense nicotine rush with their vape.
Simply mix the flavoured e-liquid and the nicotine shot together, shake to combine, wait a minute for the mixture to settle and any air bubbles to disappear, and you’re ready to go, just as you would with pre-mixed e-liquids! It’s a good idea to give your e-liquid a shake every time you refill your vape, just to make sure the formula is well-combined. The nicotine shots themselves are flavourless to allow the high VG e-liquid to provide the flavour for your vape, though this does mean the shortfill liquid will be very slightly diluted when you add your nicotine. However as shortfills are designed to be used this way, most high-end liquids, like the ones we stock at V2 Cigs, have been formulated and mixed with this in mind.
One more thing for shortfill users to consider is the composition of their nicotine shot. Different nicotine shots come with different carrier formulas, also made up of PG and VG bases. We stock nicotine shots that are available in a 50/50 VG/PG formula, or in a 100% VG formula for a truly smooth, sweet vape experience, with the fantastic vapour production and comfortable direct-to-lung vape. Available in 18mg/ml strength, nic shots can be used to create nicotine levels of 3.6%, by adding 1 nic shot to 50ml of shortfill, and even formulas as high as 6%, by adding two shots to 40mls of shortfill.
Shortfill e-liquids are a cost effective way for users to get high-strength nicotine e-liquids, without having to buy lots of small, wasteful bottles. It also allows for an extra layer of customisation from users who want the ultimate personalised experience within their vape.
High VG vs. 100% VG E-Liquids
High VG e-liquids have a small volume of PG, which helps to carry flavours and nicotine more effectively than in 100% VG e-liquids. This makes them better for users who look for strong, complex flavours in their vape. This is what allows manufacturers to infuse high-VG e-liquids with some of the most interesting and tasty flavours on the market, from desserts like lemon tart and watermelon candies, to tropical fruit mixtures and summery sweets. While improvements are being made to carry complex flavours in 100% VG e-liquids almost every day, for exceptional flavour complexity without significantly sacrificing on cloud production and a smooth vape experience, high-VG e-liquids are the way to go! High VG e-liquids are also generally a slightly better carrier of nicotine than 100% VG e-liquids. Although you can choose a nicotine shot that contains a small amount of PG, to help hold and carry the nicotine more effectively.
Despite these differences, the decision between high VG and 100% VG e-liquids comes down almost entirely to personal preference. If it’s your first time trying a high-VG e-liquid, we recommend trying a 70/30 VG/PG mixture to see how you get on. If you love the increased vapour production and smoother sensation of this kind of vaping, it might be worth trying a 100% VG e-liquid. However if you miss the throat hit sensation or find that flavour complexity gets a bit lost, stick with 70/30, or try a 50/50 mix instead. It’s a process of trial and error, but if you’re struggling, the team at V2 Cigs are here to help you.
Get the Best Performance From Your High-VG E-Liquid
High VG e-liquids are generally more compatible with modern sub-ohm tanks and vape mod devices, as the improved wicking in these tanks is optimised for use with the thicker, more viscous consistency of high VG E-Liquid, and the more powerful batteries in vape mods are perfect for more effectively heating the e-liquid, giving you thick, fluffy clouds and a warm, more comfortable vape experience.
Sub ohm vaping is a style of vaping associated with high vapour production and direct-to-lung vaping, and is generally a much more advanced style of vaping, not suitable for beginners. It’s what many people think about when they imagine a vaper surrounded by a thick cloud of smoke, rather than the small, more discreet “cig-a-like” or vape pen devices most commonly used by beginners. Sub ohm vaping uses very low resistance coils (the element of the vape that heats the e-liquid), combined with high temperatures and powerful batteries, to intensely heat the e-liquid and provide users with thicker clouds and more intense flavour. As this style of vaping relies heavily on a deep inhale, PG-heavy e-liquids cannot be used for sub-ohm vaping, which means high-VG is the way to go. If you’re interested in increasing cloud production in your vape style, you might want to look into these modern sub-ohm tanks, more powerful vape mod devices and high VG, or even 100% VG e-liquids to help you get there. These devices are designed specifically for use with high VG vape juice, so to get the best performance from both your device and your e-liquid, sub-ohm vaping and direct-to-lung vaping are things you should look into.

Flavourless Nic Shots
Nicotine shots, or nic shots, as they are sometimes known, are the liquids that can be added to the remaining 10-20% of the shortfill bottle. They are very concentrated, flavourless nicotine e-liquid formulas and should never be consumed on their own. In line with regulations, these nicotine shots come in bottles of no more than 10ml and are available in a variety of strengths; usually 15mg, 18mg or 20mg. At V2 Cigs, we offer nicotine shots that are 18mg per 10ml, making them very strong and able to deliver the desired amount of nicotine, even when mixed with shortfill e-liquids.
We offer Nyx Nicotine Shots which are 50:50 VG/PG, providing a balanced performance. VSAVI Nic Shots come in a 70:30 VG/PG base from one of the world’s largest distributors. These products have been created in a medical-grade facility with top of the line laboratories, for one of the safest and most effective nicotine bases on the market. An excellent alternative for those with PG sensitivities is the Flawless nicotine shot, which comes in a 100% VG base, so the composition of your mixed shortfill remains as high-VG as possible, retaining maximum flavour from the mixed formula.
Best E-liquids for Sub Ohm Vaping
Sub-ohm vaping is a method of vaping, often favoured by experienced vapers, which delivers one of the most satisfying vaping experiences. In the early days of vaping, Sub-ohm vaping simply wasn't possible and vaping devices were extremely limited in terms of the variation in experience that they could offer. You require a specific coil and device to accommodate this method, meaning the concept of Sub Ohm vaping has only become a reality as vaping devices have advanced. As vaping devices have become more diverse, so have the techniques and ways in which people use them.
Sub-ohm vaping is also known as direct to lung vaping, as the user bypasses the mouth during inhalation, resulting in a much deeper and more satisfying vape. By increasing the airflow on your device you're able to produce much larger clouds of vapour and with the increased airflow, take more vapour directly into your lungs as a result. For those who are quitting smoking, this can be the preferred choice of vaping style, due to the ability to get a much bigger nicotine hit with one drag than it would if you vaped directly to the mouth or with a few short puffs. The flavour intensity is also much higher due to the bigger clouds the vape device is capable of producing.
If you're new to vaping or haven't heard of the term 'Sub-ohm' vaping before, you're likely wondering why it's called that, but there is a very good reason. Essentially, an Ohm is a unit of electrical resistance and it's how coils in vape devices are measured, as they transmit a current when in use. This means that when choosing a vape device there will be a set resistance and depending on what that is, you'll be able to get a different vaping experience. So, in the case of Sub Ohm vaping, the resistance of the coil is less than 1.0 Ohm, hence the 'sub' part. Any coil with a resistance lower than 1.0 Ohm will give you all the benefits of a Sub-ohm vaping experience. If this is your preferred vaping method and you regularly use a Sub Ohm vape, you're going to want to get vape juices that complement this particular style of vaping.
The best type of vape juices to use for Sub Ohm vaping are ones with a low PG (Propylene Glycol) and high VG (Vegetable Glycerine) content as these will deliver the best clouds and quality flavour with a satisfying taste. This balance in PG/VG content will work more favourably with the low resistance coil than e-liquids with a different balance would, meaning that matching the right vape juices to your resistance is key for a satisfying experience. Using these types of liquids means you'll likely opt for one with a lower nicotine content as you're inhaling directly to your lungs and therefore getting more vapour as a result. Getting these ratios right is important otherwise you could ruin the vape experience.
Choosing the right juices and finding ones which you enjoy is absolutely key as there is a range of flavours available, some of which can be an acquired taste. Picking a flavour and sticking with it, even if you don't like it, is only going to ruin your enjoyment of sub-ohm vaping, especially as the taste is more intense than other methods. Choosing juices with fruity flavours is often a safe bet as they provide a sweet flavour when inhaling large clouds, whereas menthol flavours which provide a fresher, minty flavour may not be as enjoyable when vaping directly to your lungs. Some of the most popular e-liquids in the VSAVI 100% VG e-liquids range are also fruity flavours like apricot, raspberry and watermelon. Assuming you choose a quality brand, you're likely to get the nicest taste from these types of flavours, and they are likely to suit many different tastes!
Nicotine strength is another big factor to consider when choosing the right vape juice and with the continually growing range of options available on the market, you can easily find the right concentration for you. Finding the right balance between all of these different factors will drastically enhance your sub-ohm vaping experience, which is why we would highly recommend experimenting with various different liquids and flavours to find one which you're happy to stick with. As with anything, the more you spend the better the experience is that you're likely to have and if you opt for premium brands, the investment you make will be reflected in the quality.
Of course, this isn't always possible as paying the top price for a premium product isn't something you can do regularly, especially if you're a sub-ohm vaper as this method is notorious for cycling through a full tank of e-liquid extremely quickly. This is due to the large clouds of vapour and strong taste produced by the low resistance coil, meaning you're likely going to have to look for liquids that fall more in line with your budget. If you're an avid user and vape regularly day-to-day, you're likely to rinse through liquids very quickly, especially when producing large clouds using the Sub Ohm vaping method, making the V2 platinum & VSAVI ranges of e-liquids a great option for affordable quality in your vape.
Best E-Liquids for E-Cigarettes
When it comes to choosing the best e-liquid, there really is no definitive answer as it’s all down to personal preference. However, with such as the wide range of e-juices available at V2 Cigs, finding one which you consider the best is far easier than it has been previously. The rise in popularity in vaping has meant that not only the devices but the juices have been developed and diversified for the best possible user experience. Often, the first step in choosing liquids that are right for you is in the taste. Of course, there are other factors to consider, but the reality is that taste is the most important thing when choosing the perfect vape juices for you.
If the flavour isn't right or even if you've picked a flavour which you like but the taste is a little off, then why settle for it? With the options available on the market today, you should get out there and explore the juices which are available. Flavours of e-juices and e-liquids can also be affected by the vape device and various other factors such as the coil. One of the most common things that can affect the flavour of the vape juice is if the coil is burnt or highly worn out. The taste is rather noticeable and not pleasant either, but don't worry, this doesn't mean that the flavour of the juice is ruined forever, you simply need to replace the coil and it will taste as good as new. This can happen when the coil hasn't been changed over a long period of time, or has been used too quickly in a short period of time and has burnt away the cotton around the coil. The damaged coil is then unable to properly vaporise the liquid and results in the burnt flavour being reflected in the vapour.
Just like with sub-ohm vaping, the coil you use is a huge factor when choosing the best e-liquid for you, as different juices work better with different coil resistance. Other factors such as nicotine strength come into play too, as different levels of resistance will deliver a hit with more/less nicotine depending on the setting. This is why with low resistance vaping, low nicotine content juices tend to work better, as the vapour hit is much bigger so it evens out with the nicotine content. If the nicotine content is too high when vaping with low resistance, the nicotine hit would be huge and extremely unpleasant on your throat. This is why when vaping with a much higher resistance you want a larger nicotine content as you're inhaling less vapour each time and will need more to get the desired hit.
Finding juices that offer the best balance between these factors and ones which work with the resistance level of your coil is extremely important to finding the perfect liquid. Different devices will impact this too. For example, if you're using a vape mod, you are likely to be an experienced vaper, who has opted for a more advanced device and will need to find a liquid that works in tandem with the spec of that vape mod. Whereas beginners may be using a vape pod or the basic e-cigarettes available, requiring a type of e-liquid which is more suited to those devices. This will all depend on the ratios of ingredients, the blend and the brands, as each brand will offer a variety of suitable juices for vapers.
At V2 Cigs we aim to only stock affordable, high-quality vape juice brands to make your e-liquid shop a whole lot easier. Not only does having a wide selection of flavours and brands make picking the best e-liquids easier, but it also increases your chances of finding a juice that is perfectly suited to you. If you're looking at lowering your nicotine intake, there are liquids available with lower nicotine levels to help you gradually adjust to the eventuality of having nicotine-free liquids. This is an extremely popular choice as most users who vape have quit smoking and are working towards completely removing nicotine from their bodies. Often the path to nicotine-free liquids and users becoming more experienced over time leads to sub-ohm vaping. This is because Sub Ohm vaping uses low resistance and therefore juices with low nicotine levels, making the transition to this type of vaping more natural over time, however, the choice is completely yours!
Juices with higher nicotine levels are more suited to those new to vaping and who have just quit smoking, and who therefore need that initial higher nicotine intake. Fortunately, the team at V2 are happy to cater to this, and we offer lots of options for both freebase and Nic Salt e-liquids on our site. Nic Salt e-liquids are also a great choice for new e-cigarette users as nicotine in this form is absorbed into the bloodstream much quicker than other forms such as distilled nicotine in other juices. As you become more experienced as a vaper and begin to explore different devices, your choice of liquid will likely change too, whether that's due to nicotine level, flavour or PG/VG content. Different brands will offer different balances of PG/VG content, nic salts ratios and flavour quality.
Quit Smoking With The Right E-Liquids
With e-liquids, it’s widely known that they are the healthier alternative to smoking, especially when you consider the research and development into making e- liquids safe for consumption. In terms of whether individual juices can be healthy, it’s been proven that vaping and the vapour which you inhale is 95% healthier for you than smoking. If a high nicotine level juice means that you quit smoking tobacco cigarettes, you will still be healthier throughout the rest of your life as a result! This side of the health benefits posed by vaping and e-liquids are often overlooked, as the health impacts of vaping are often compared to non-smokers and non-vapers, when in fact it is life-changing for ex-smokers and those who used to smoke regularly.
At V2 Cigs we stock a range of e-liquids with different flavours and varying PG/VG strengths, which not only give you an enjoyable vaping experience but they help satisfy your nicotine cravings. Other substitutes for nicotine such as gum and patches just don’t cut it for a lot of ex-smokers, which can often lead to them picking up a cigarette again. We try our hardest to make sure this doesn’t happen, and by stocking premium-quality e-liquids in the form of our V2 Cigs Platinum range, we can help more people quit smoking for good.
Every e-liquid we stock has been created in full compliance with the Tobacco Products Directive and all UK e-liquid regulations. By using the best possible ingredients - which have been certified as safe for consumption - we can confidently provide you with the best pharmaceutical-grade e-liquids on the market. We also keep our prices as low as possible which means you can still benefit from a premium quality product without needing to break the bank in the process.
From delicious flavours to premium brands, we stock a wide range of vape juices here at V2 Cigs with a liquid suitable for every type of user. Explore our options and learn about the variety of juices available to find the perfect choice for you. You can shop juices suitable for Sub Ohm vaping, high resistance vaping, vaping for absolute beginners or other vape devices which require specific types of liquid to be used. We also stock vaping accessories, replacement coils and popular vaping devices.
