Further Information
OXVA VPrime 2 Pod Kit
The OXVA VPrime 2 is the follow-up to one of the most popular pod kits OXVA has ever released, and it arrives with the biggest battery in the VPrime line-up, a proper colour screen, and dual mesh pods that are built to outlast the single-mesh coils most kits at this price still use. If you want a pod system that survives a full day of vaping on one charge and still fits in a jeans pocket, this is where to start looking.
Its available across six finishes so you can match it to how you actually vape, not just how it looks on a shelf.
Why vapers are choosing the VPrime 2
The original VPrime built a loyal following on a simple formula: strong battery life, easy auto-draw operation and coils that didn't burn out after a week. The VPrime 2 keeps everything that worked and fixes the two things people always asked OXVA for, more power and a bigger battery. A 3400mAh cell and a 60W ceiling put it ahead of most pod kits in its price bracket, while the 0.98 inch colour display means you're never guessing at your wattage, resistance or battery level.
Key Features
3400mAh built-in battery. The largest battery OXVA has fitted to a VPrime kit so far, good for most vapers to get through a full day without reaching for the charging cable. USB-C fast charging (5V/3A) means a low battery is a short wait, not a long one.
5W to 60W adjustable output. Enough headroom to run both included pods at their full range, from a tight, cigarette-like draw on the 0.6Ω pod up to a denser, more direct-lung style hit on the 0.4Ω pod.
UniTech 3.0 dual mesh coils. Dual mesh construction heats e-liquid more evenly than a single mesh coil, which means a fuller flavour hit from the first puff. OXVA states this design delivers up to double the flavour and lifespan of a standard single mesh coil.
0.98 inch colour display. Shows your wattage, coil resistance, mode, battery percentage and puff count at a glance, with a screen lock to stop accidental changes in a pocket or bag.
Boost and Eco modes. Boost mode opens up the top end of the wattage range for a punchier throat hit and thicker vapour, Eco mode dials things back to stretch battery life further, useful if you know you won't get near a charger for a while.
Auto-draw and manual fire button. Inhale to activate it like a disposable, or use the fire button for full manual control. Either way works, and you can switch between them whenever you like.
Adjustable airflow control (AFC). A rotating ring around the base of the pod lets you open the draw up for a looser, more airy hit or tighten it down for something closer to a mouth-to-lung cigarette draw.
Zinc alloy build with IML panels. In-mould labelling means the colour finish is part of the material itself rather than printed on top, so it won't scratch or fade with normal pocket wear the way some painted kits do.

Compatibility Guide
The OXVA VPrime 2 is a closed pod system, meaning it's only designed to work with pods built for it, it isn't cross-compatible with pods from other kits or other OXVA devices such as the Xlim Pro 2 or Xlim Pro 3.
Compatible pods: OXVA VPrime 2 (Dual Mesh) Replacement Pods, available in 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω resistances. These will be listed as a separate product on our replacement pods range shortly, once available they'll link directly from this page.
Compatible e-liquids: Both nicotine salt e-liquids and standard freebase/shortfill e-liquids work in the VPrime 2, the resistance you're vaping on determines which is the better fit. See the coil guide below for the full breakdown.
Charging cable: Any standard USB-C cable will charge the VPrime 2, though we'd recommend sticking with a 5V/3A-rated cable or charger to get the fastest charge time the kit supports.
Recommended E-Liquids
For the 0.6Ω pod (tighter, mouth-to-lung style draw), a nic salt e-liquid gives the smoothest throat hit at higher strengths without the harshness freebase nicotine can have at 20mg. Good options from our range include:
- Doozy Salts Nic Salt E-Liquids
- Nyx Juicy Nic Salt E-Liquid
- OXVA Ox Passion Nic Salt E-Liquids, OXVA's own juice range, tuned around the flavour profile of their pod coils
- VSAVI Nicotine Salts 10ml
- Wick Liquor Nic Salt E-Liquids
For the 0.4Ω pod (denser, more direct-lung style draw), a 50/50 or high-VG shortfill gives thicker vapour and a fuller flavour hit. Browse our full Shortfill E-Liquids range to find a flavour and strength that suits how you're vaping.
Coil and Pod Guide
The VPrime 2 ships with both included pods so you can try each style and settle on whichever suits your habits.
0.6Ω pod, 20W to 25W. A tighter restricted-draw-lung (RDL) hit, closer to a cigarette. Best paired with nic salts at 10mg or 20mg strength if you're an ex-smoker or a lighter vaper who wants strong nicotine satisfaction without huge clouds.
0.4Ω pod, 28W to 38W. A more open, airier draw with noticeably bigger vapour production and a fuller flavour delivery. Better suited to freebase e-liquid at lower strengths (3mg or 6mg) or a 50/50 nic salt if you still want a smoother throat hit.
Both pods use OXVA's UniTech 3.0 dual mesh coil, which OXVA rates at up to double the lifespan of a standard single mesh coil. As a general guide rather than an OXVA-published figure, most vapers get somewhere between 200 and 300 puffs of total coil life per pod, that's across several refills of the 2ml tank rather than from a single fill, before flavour starts to noticeably drop off, though this varies with wattage, e-liquid VG/PG ratio and how often you're vaping.
Usage Advice
Before your first vape, prime the new pod by leaving it to sit filled with e-liquid for five to ten minutes, this lets the coil's wicking material fully saturate and helps prevent a dry, burnt first hit.
Fill the pod through the side or top fill port (check the pod itself, both styles exist across OXVA's range) rather than overfilling in one go, top up little and often rather than filling to the brim, e-liquid needs room to move inside the pod as you draw on it.
Match your wattage to the pod you're using, don't push a 0.6Ω pod up towards 38W, it's built for the lower end of the VPrime 2's range and running it too hot will burn through the coil faster and can affect flavour.
Store the kit somewhere it won't get too hot, a car dashboard in summer or next to a radiator can affect both the battery and the pod's e-liquid, and keep the device upright where possible to reduce the chance of leaking.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the OXVA VPrime 2 battery last?
With a 3400mAh cell, most vapers get through a full day of normal use on a single charge, exact runtime depends on your wattage, how often you're puffing and whether you're using Boost or Eco mode.
How long does the VPrime 2 take to charge fully?
Using the included USB-C cable with a 5V/3A-rated charger, expect a full charge from empty in around 45 to 60 minutes, a standard phone charger will still work but may take longer.
Can I use my own e-liquid or does it need to be a specific brand?
Any nic salt or freebase e-liquid works in the VPrime 2, there's no brand lock-in. The pod's resistance just determines which style of e-liquid gets the best results, see our compatibility guide above.
Is the OXVA VPrime 2 suitable for beginners?
Yes. Auto-draw activation means it works straight out of the box with no buttons to learn, and the included 0.6Ω pod gives a cigarette-like draw that most people switching from smoking find familiar.
What's the difference between the 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω pods?
The 0.6Ω pod gives a tighter, more restricted draw suited to nic salts and higher strengths, the 0.4Ω pod gives a looser, more direct-lung draw with more vapour, better suited to lower-strength freebase or shortfill e-liquid.
Do I need to buy pods separately?
Not straight away, the kit includes one of each resistance (0.4Ω and 0.6Ω), so you can try both before deciding which one to reorder.
Where can I buy replacement pods for the VPrime 2?
OXVA VPrime 2 (Dual Mesh) Replacement Pods will be available directly from V2 UK shortly, in both 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω.
How do I know when the pod needs replacing?
A burnt or muted taste, a gurgling sound when you draw, or visibly darkened e-liquid in the pod are all signs the coil is due for replacement. Most vapers get somewhere between one and two weeks from a pod depending on usage.
Can I use the VPrime 2 with nic salts above 20mg?
No, 20mg (2%) is the maximum nicotine strength permitted for e-liquid sold in the UK under TPD regulations, and it's also the highest strength we'd recommend for comfortable vaping in either pod.
Does the VPrime 2 leak?
The dual mesh pods use an upgraded seal designed to reduce leaking compared to the original VPrime pods, though as with any pod system, keeping the device upright and not overfilling will help avoid it.
What does Boost mode actually do?
Boost mode opens up the top end of the available wattage for that pod, giving a stronger throat hit and denser vapour, useful if you find the standard setting a bit mellow. Eco mode does the opposite, capping output lower to stretch your battery.
Is the screen easy to read and does it show battery percentage?
Yes, the 0.98 inch colour screen shows an exact battery percentage rather than just an icon, along with your current wattage, resistance and mode.
Can I lock the screen so I don't change settings by accident?
Yes, there's a screen lock built in, useful if the kit's going in a pocket or bag where the fire button could otherwise get pressed accidentally.
What colours does the VPrime 2 come in?
Six finishes: Carbon Black, Mirage Blue, Mirage Pink, Mirage Purple, Shard Black and Shard Gold.
Is the VPrime 2 backwards compatible with original VPrime pods?
No, the VPrime 2 uses a new Dual Mesh pod design and isn't compatible with pods made for the original VPrime kit.
